このハッピーなトーンを作り出すのは、Anna Gleeson。
私の友人でもある彼女、この度、来日して展示会＆トークイベントを行います。
日本初となる今回の展示は、紙でつくった大きなイヤリングが登場。

ほんとに、彼女の作り出す作品は大好きで、紙と色を自由に扱う感じとか、使われるモチーフに彼女のもつセンスの豊かさ、美しさを感じる。オーストラリア、ニューヨーク、フランス、日本、香港...そんなカルチャーがグルグルとしてできているAnnaの作品、楽しみです。
Annaの展示を企画してくださった方にありがとうです。

zine "playful search for beauty" / Anna Gleeson

これはその" Giant Earring" をモチーフに、Anna自身が写真、デザイン、製本をてがけたzine。
とってもすてきです。

Look at these happy things! These giant earrings made by Anna Gleeson. She is a really wonderful artist. She was born in Australia, now living in HongKong via New York and Tokyo. I love her cute color selecting and the way to handle paper, it's very free, but so elegant.
Now she is visiting Tokyo for her first private exhibition titled "Anna Gleeson -Giant Earrings-". I can't wait to see her again, we are friend and at same age.

The venue is STORE, the very unique apparel shop in Nishi-Ogikubo, Tokyo.
They make T-shirts with divided parts in front of us. You could select parts from many color combinations, and they sew them up to T-shirts like live performance. See here and here. But, you might be felled in love with their cute stole and sweats too....Have fun!

また、会場となる「STORE」、とってもすてきなお店です。
私たちも、その場で縫い合わせて作ってくれたTシャツや、手染めのコートなどを着させてもらってますが、なんというか、とっても楽しい。
ストライプ好き、行商好きにもたまらないお店。
